Thanks to all of our volunteers & attendees for this year's Lake Joe Pool Pumpkin Run festival!  It was definitely a TEAM effort!  And we had 1,142 runners in attendance!

Our luncheon to give away our proceeds will be at the RJC on November 14th.  Please plan to attend and bring a guest!

Congratulations to Terri Walker whose name was drawn as the 2017 winner of the Lone Star Park Suite giveaway!  The winning ticket was sold by Judy Broyles and $3,080.00 was raised by the club that will go toward the 2017 Pumpkin Run funds.

Stop Hunger Now is an international hunger relief non-profit organization that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food and other life-saving aid to people in developing nations. Founded in 1998, it has mobilized over 500,000 volunteers to send more than 224,000,000 meals to 71 countries.
On Saturday, April 22nd, GP Metro Rotary will team up with Bon Air Service Company to package 10,000 meals for people in developing countries. We will meet at 10am in the warehouse at Bon Air located at 1905 W Jefferson St in Grand Prairie.  Volunteers are welcome and needed.  For more information, or if you are interested in helping, contact melindarodgers@sbcglobal.net

This is another great group of leaders who have offered to step up and serve.  However, they will need the support of every member so that our club can continue to grow, thrive and serve.  Looking forward to another exciting year!
Rotarians of Grand Prairie formed a team to celebrate survival, honor caregivers, and remember loved ones lost to cancer while raising funds for research efforts of The American Cancer Society. 
On December 15, GP Metro Rotary partnered with Hispanic Heritage Ambassadors DFW to provide lunch, toys and entertainment to  children in foster care anticipating adoption. Approximately 25 kids came to Pioneer Event Center to dance with clowns and meet Santa.

Making Holiday Magic...




Rotarians of Grand Prairie Metro worked in cooperation with City of Grand Prairie Parks & Recreation, City Council Members and members of Grand Prairie Rotary to provide meals for Veterans and guests at the City's annual Veterans' Day celebration.

Grand Prairie Metro Rotary applied for and received a grant from Rotary District 5810 to provide outdoor playground and equipment for Children First, Inc.  Coordinating with Grand Prairie ISD, Rotarians provided 1 table, 3 benches, a goal and pavement for half-court basketball.




The John Dubiski Interact Club is a service organization providing students an opportunity to make a difference in their community and their world by serving others.  They have service projects scheduled throughout the year in which students can participate.  Some of their service projects include volunteering to help with the Salvation Army Angel Tree, visiting with Senior Citizens, and helping the sponsor club (Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club) with their many service projects.

The Interact Club is our club for high school students and THE way to get involved with your community if you are a student at Dubiski!
Our Water Well in Mogbuama, Sierra Leone is complete!  A special thank-you to all the Grand Prairie Metro Rotarians, in cooperation with Water H2O Thrive, who helped with this worthy Rotary project out at our garage sale at Orphans of the World & to the Pumpkin Run volunteers who made this well happen!
Two new models of Rotary club membership have been authorized on a trial basis. They are:
